Trip Itinerary

• May 7-14, 2017 •

→ DAY 1

Depart US for PAP, Haiti on individually arranged flights.

Concierge will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your hotel.
Accommodations in PAP: Montana Hotel (See Gallery)

Group dinner at l'Observatoire Restaurant in Boutilliers at 7pm. Introductions and orientation. Bring a light sweater!

→ Day 2

Breakfast at Montana. Leave hotel at 9am for tour of PAP.

Visit MUPANAH— Haiti's national museum.

Walking tour of Rhum Barbancourt Distillery.

Lunch at Jardins du Mupanah.

In the evening, get ready to cook up some delicious Haitian food with Chef Sebastien, at a private residence.

We will leave the hotel at 7pm.

→ DAY 3

We begin the day at Pascale Theard Creations. Pascale is one of Haiti's most renowned designers. This brilliant creator combines leather and beads to showcase a luxury brand that put Haitian craft on the next level.

Next stop: Noailles. This village is home to the metal artisans. Watch how these talented folks turn recycled oil drums into works of art! Meet master artisans and take part in a private production process demonstration. There will be plenty of time to shop for souvenirs. Bring cash!

Lunch at Myabel, a local restaurant in Croix des Bouquets owned by Regine, a former Haiti-American attorney, who returned to Haiti to become an entrepreneur.

The evening is free. Opportunity to book a private treatment with certified massage therapist.

→ DAY 4

Early breakfast. Check out of Hotel Montana. Travel by bus to Cap Haitien, arriving late afternoon.

We will eat a packed lunch en route.

Accommodations in Cap Haitien: Habitation Jouissant. The evening is free.

→ DAY 5

Discover the colonial architecture of the second city of Haiti.

Visit two official UNESCO World Heritage sites:

Take a hike to the Citadelle Laferriere through horseback riding. This military compound is 10,000 square meters in size and was considered to be the administrative capital of Haiti in the early 1800's. Next, we explore Palais San Souci, also built by King Henri Christophe.

Both monuments serve as symbols of liberty as they were the first to be built by slaves who had won their freedom. In the afternoon, we will meet some local women artisans and tour downtown Cap Haitien.

Be sure to bring your camera so as not to miss some amazing photo opportunities!

→ DAY 6/7

Cap off the trip at the all-inclusive DeCameron Resort! Dip your toes in white sand, work on your tan, enjoy the water activities.

Swimsuit and beach gear recommended!

→ DAY 8

On the last morning, we leave the resort after breakfast and head back to the airport in Port-au-Prince.

Time to hop on a plane back to the US and dream of our next visit to Haiti!
